Is it warm enough to wear bathing suits on Oregon beach in July?

We are planning a trip to Oregon in July. We are concerned that it may be too cold to enjoy the beach. We will stay in Cannon Beach or Seaside. We have small kids 4 and 7.

We would like lodging ideas for something on the beach- yet reasonable if possibleIs it warm enough to wear bathing suits on Oregon beach in July?
I've spent a lot of time at Seaside. It is an awesome place to take your family! You'll enjoy the shopping and restraunts as well as the aquarium.

I think you have a little bit of a delusion about the 'beach' there. It is very rarely warm enough to wear a bathing suit at the coast. BUT, you don't have to be in your bathing suit to enjoy the sights and the ocean. There are many very awesome views and hikes, there are lighthouses and lots and lots of treasures to find.

I'm jealous, I wish I could go! : ) Enjoy your trip!! Also, take a look at Netart (spelling?) Bay.... we found a cool little hotel there that had a kitchen and two bedrooms. It wasn't the fanciest place, but it was affordable, and clean, and perfect for our family. Is it warm enough to wear bathing suits on Oregon beach in July?
Absolutely. We spend most of July there. Bring some warmer clothes for the night time if you plan on being there then.

The Oregon beace near there is odd. Sometimes as early as May it can get to 90 degrees on the beach but sometimes in July, the temps might not climb out of the 60's. Generally speaking, the temps will be averaging over 70 oon the beach in July, depending on which beach you are at. If I were traveling here, I would bring a bathing suit and a light jacket.
of course
