Where are nice bathing beaches in the UK ?

I've always been Curious about if/where are nice beaches in the UK which are famous for bathing (NOT for other water sports).

I found sites indicating the water cleanliness etc. But it would be nice to know which are traditionally known for warmer waters in the summer, which make it more pleasant. In particular places like Isle of Scilly, Channel Is., South coast of England .. TNX !!!Where are nice bathing beaches in the UK ?
If you can include beaches from the Channel Islands which can be very dangerous to bathe in because of the large tidal range , then I am sure you can include the beaches of North Cornwall, you might lose your newspaper (if you're unlucky) but they are the warmest and have the best surf, somewhere nice and sheltered like Harlyn Bay should do the trick for an able swimmer.

The link shows it on a nice calm day

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!鈥?sorry bathing in the UK makes me laugh, but then I'm from Scotland and we consider 5 degrees to be a bout of fantastic weather! hence why I own more pairs of welly boots than sandals
Try either Tenby, Pembrokeshire (Wales) or Southerndown (also Wales). They're both great beaches with a high water cleanliness.
